Title: A Series of Revival Sermons. With an Appendix.
Printer/Publisher: Published for the Author by
William S. Martien
Language: English
Notes: The opening sermon, "The Truth and Excellence of the
Christian Religion," incorporates an appreciation of
prophecy (Hos. 3:4) as it relates to the children of
Israel.
"By estimation there are, at this time, about eight
millions of Jews upon the earth; a sufficient number to
form a powerful empire, or more glorious republic; and yet
they have no king, no prince, no polity, no government of
their own, and this has been the case for eighteen hundred
years! How astonishing are these prophecies, and how exact
their fulfilment!" (p. 23).
